OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSTThe Executive Office of the UNESCO Culture Sector, which ensures the overall coordination of the development, implementation and monitoring of the Approved Programme and Budget of the Culture Sector (CLT), is looking for an Associate Project Coordinator to support transversal, voluntary contributions funded activities and initiatives and ensure their full alignment with the Programme and Budget, and coordination within the Culture Sector. This will include initiatives related to culture and sustainable development, sustainable cultural tourism, the coordination of the follow-up of the third edition of the UNESCO High-Level Forum for Museums, as well as other transversal priority areas including in the framework of strategic initiatives led by the Assistant Director-General for Culture (ADG/CLT) and/or the Chief of the Executive Office of the Culture Sector (Chief CLT/EO).
Under the overall authority of ADG/CLT, the general supervision of Chief CLT/EO and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator of the Programme Management and Coordination Unit (CLT/EO/PMC), the incumbent will support the general coordination of the implementation and review of transversal programmes and projects, while also ensuring their alignment and complementarity to UNESCO’s Medium-Term Strategy (C/4) and Programme and Budget (C/5).

UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits which may include if applicable: 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, pension plan etc.
The approximate annual starting salary for this post is 84 123 US dollars $.
