Houlihan Lokey, Inc. in Paris seeks an experienced Associate in its Debt Capital Solutions team. You will work on financing advisory mandates, including debt transactions across private, public, and hybrid loans and bonds, teamed with senior members.

The role requires strong financial modelling and language skills in English and French, with a background in Debt Advisory/Leveraged Finance on the French market. You'll join a growing, globally connected firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with excellent academic track record.
• 5+ years of experience on the French market within Debt Advisory/Leveraged Finance or similar.
• Demonstrable track record of executing transactions and knowledge of lender credit processes.
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, including LBO modelling.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English & French.

Responsabilités

• Work on financing advisory mandates and debt transactions, gaining exposure to senior team members and clients.
• Support on execution of debt transactions in mid-cap and large-cap segments including private, public and hybrid loans and bonds.
• Lead selected workstreams, coordinate due diligence, and manage client dialogue and relationships.
• Build and maintain bespoke financial models with junior team support; assist in drafting term sheets and facility agreements.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the team's growth and marketing initiatives.

The European Capital Solutions team advises private equity, corporate and public clients on arranging financing in the public, and private capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. The team, comprising over 100 professionals in Europe, is rapidly growing and advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries.

Scope

The Debt Capital Solutions team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add an experienced Associate to our team in Paris. The environment at Houlihan Lokey is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Responsibilities

Work as part of lean deal teams on financing advisory mandates, gaining significant exposure to senior team members and clients Support on the execution of a variety of different debt transactions in the mid-cap or the large-cap segments including private, public and hybrid loans and public bonds Serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions including leading selected workstreams Oversee junior team members in the preparation of presentation and transaction materials Support senior team members with client dialogue and relationship management – you will be required to present to and hold conversations with senior clients as an essential part of your role Engage in and manage due diligence processes, including coordinating work by other professional advisors Assist in analysing and negotiating financing terms and documentation to clients Research, monitor and analyse financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions for use in advising clients Build and maintain bespoke financial models with support from junior team members Undertake debt capacity, financial covenant, and credit rating modelling Assist with the wider team's marketing initiatives Build own network of contacts within active debt investors including banks, credit funds, hedge funds and other alternative lenders Contribute to the firm's Private Equity relationships Mentor junior analysts, helping to create a collaborative team environment

Basic Qualifications/ Requirements The ideal candidate will have: a bachelors degree and an excellent academic track record 45-5 years of experience on the French market within a Debt Advisory, Leveraged Finance/LBO, Private Creditor similar role within an Investment Bank or Advisory firm a demonstrable track record of executing transactions and knowledge of Lender's credit process excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, including LBO modelling experience discussing Term Sheets and Facility Agreements strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & French proven ability to communicate with confidence to persuade, influence and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail and a desire to take the initiative demonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment that is rapidly changing and demanding, but ultimately rewarding
