We are seeking applicants for Project Management-related roles, including:

• Assistant Research Associate

Assistant Research Associates support research activities such as monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring impactful solutions for food security, climate resilience, and rural livelihoods. Positions are available in multiple CIMMYT locations.

General activities include:

• Managing breeding nurseries and pollination crews for seed production
• Planning experiments and seed preparations
• Assessing and ensuring data quality throughout the growing season
• Operating planting, harvesting, and spraying equipment
• Maintaining research equipment and troubleshooting electronics
• Scouting for weeds and pests and taking corrective actions
• Training team members and staying updated on research techniques
• Collecting and processing physiological and agronomic data
• Processing plant tissue samples in the laboratory
• Managing data in relevant databases
• Supporting high-throughput phenotyping using mobile and aerial platforms
• Assisting in phenotyping data processing and database development
• Handling administrative tasks related to hiring temporary field personnel
