SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/ ) and the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence invite applications for positions in Artificial Intelligence for Business to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field's highest quality journals.

The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required and is not a criterion for selection. SKEMA Business School offers support in learning French.



Qualifications must include:

• Hold or about to complete a Ph.D. in Management or a related field (with orientation in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Robotics) or a related area (preference will be given to a candidate who will complete their Ph.D. by August 2026).
• Present potential (revise and resubmit) or publication track record of publishing research in top-tier journals.
• Teaching experience in Artificial Intelligence in management or related fields.
• Committed to service and outreach activities.
• The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required and won’t be used as a selection criterion. SKEMA offers support in learning French.


Expectations:

• Publish at least 2 articles in peer-reviewed journals in conformity with the school’s charter (expectations are 2 A every 5 years).
• Teach courses in the area of Artificial Intelligence for Business, with a focus either in strategy and innovation or in organizational behavior and human resources management.
• Supervise master students.
• Show academic citizenship, commit to the life of the institution, and contribute to the projects related to the school’s strategy.

ABOUT RESEARCH

The candidate will be a member of the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) which is a Research Center dedicated to exploring how AI Systems interact and collaborate with people to enhance human abilities and empower both individuals and society creating sustainable value at four different levels:

Business value: how AI becomes part of the products themselves, improves performance across the value chain, or enables ecosystems and collaboration with new markets.
Ethical value: how to foster explicability and responsible AI to guarantee social fairness in respect of human freedoms and dignity.
Societal value: how AI contributes to environmental sustainability, encourages a new social contract based on accountability.
Algorithmic value: developing AI techniques and algorithms with increasingly superior performance while attending to the explainability of such techniques to assure that the other kinds of value can be enabled.

Through this Research Centre, we want to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on a broad range of business and management subjects (ranging from finance, marketing, strategy, to innovation and entrepreneurship) and cover a multitude of different sectors (such as education, energy, health care, public administration, banks, insurance, retail, tourism, and luxury) offering guidance to organizations on how to best use AI for sustainable value creation.
