The Center of Excellence in Supply Chain Innovation and Transportation (CESIT) at Kedge aims at meeting the economic, environmental and societal challenges raised in the Supply Chain, by co-developing, with companies, collectivities, institutional and academic partners, the concepts, methods and innovative tools necessary for the organization and transformation of the supply chain. Our actions do impact academic research, the corporate world, society and education. CESIT experts are at the heart of news and research into supply chains on a national and international level. They are also regularly involved in the media to provide insight into the news through their expertise. They work, organize and participate in many seminars, and international conferences.

The Operations Management and Information Systems Academic Department (MOSI) at KEDGE Business School brings together professors from disciplines including procurement management, supply chain management, quality management, and information systems management. These professors combine theoretical and practical teaching with the aim of providing students with specific knowledge, as well as giving them global and cross-disciplinary insight into supply chain management. The Department invites applications for 2 positions as :

Assistant or Associate Professor of Logistics and transport

Responsibilities :

  • Teaching and educational development (undergraduate, graduate and post graduate level).
  • Publications in academic and professional journals.
  • Research Projects with companies or international institutions
  • Participation in national and international calls for projects
  • Student supervision and coaching

Profile and skills required :

  • Doctoral degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or related field;
  • Teaching experience related to Freight Transport, Logistics, Urban Logistics, Customs, 3PL Management and Logistic Supplier Management;
  • Publication in the areas of Urban Logistics, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management;
  • Experience on innovative projects in last-mile delivery - smart cities would be a plus;
  • Relevant expertise in transportation and logistics, distribution networks, inventory management, sustainable operations, decarbonization would be a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in English and in French and the ability to teach in both languages.

Compensations and benefits:

Permanent contract/ Full time

Status: Executive

Salary: to be negotiated /over 13 months / Bonuses (research, executive education, etc.)

Paid leaves 35 days per year + 15 exemption daysper year
