Assistant Manager

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Rooms Division Manager, this role is a great opportunity to work with a strong team of just over 12 department members to develop your career in a supportive, fun and customer focused environment. This role requires a confident leader who can approach people and naturally initiate conversation; your skills of reading the guest and attention to detail are what sets you apart from the rest. Not only do you enjoy being hands-on, but you will be across all the administrative tasks required in your leadership role for continual growth. Furthermore:

1. You will be the face of Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour and will be the hotel representative in the absence of the Rooms Division Manager and General Manager.
2. You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the hotel and will assist in all areas during peak times to eliminate potential issues.
3. You will have the ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your natural, bright and bubbly customer service style ensuring that their stay will be one to remember.
4. Implement the Accor values and Accor customer vision to ‘Offer the Best Service to Our Customers’.
5. Apply knowledge and empowerment to resolve an issue that may result in adequate compensation to the guest.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience in an Assistant Manager role or similar experience with knowledge of Opera system (preferred).
2. Passion for people and hospitality.
3. Hands on, natural born leader with the ability to nurture, develop and bring out the best in your team.
4. Ability to make decisions independently and confidently in high volume work situations.
5. Available to work varied shifts / rotating roster.
