Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry, and fragrance.

In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

We are seeking a Leather Goods & Jewelry Collection Merchandising Intern for a 6-month duration, starting September.

As an Assistant Collection Merchandising Intern, you will join the Central Merchandising Department and support the team in pricing, collection, and showroom activities for Leather Goods and Jewelry categories.

Responsibilities and Activities:

Collection:

• Benchmark products and analyze trends:
• Monthly newsletter on recent market trends and major events: celebrities, new competitor products, etc.
• Daily monitoring of competitor offerings: new products, seasonal stories, collaborations.
• Preparation of reports on trends for each seasonal brief for the Collection Merch team.
• In-depth analysis of competitors' collection structures.
• Overall report on Fashion Weeks.

Showroom:

Shooting:

• Prepare a list of products to photograph and other necessary documents for stylists.
• Confirm sample availability.
• Supervise the shooting, ensuring everything is photographed efficiently.
• Verify codes, photos, and ensure accuracy on post-shoot application.

Sample Management:

• Receive/verify sample list.
• Ensure proper handling of products during the showroom.
• Assist in managing cancellations for Visual Merchandising and coordinate samples.

Pricing:

• Analyze prices and benchmark on Excel and PowerPoint:
• Price analysis in different currencies (€/$/CNY/JPY).
• Weekly benchmarking of competitors' prices.
• Calculate discrepancies across currencies.
• Overall category analysis and specific analyses upon request.

Candidate Profile:

• Seeking a 6-month internship in M1/M2.
• Previous experience in luxury/fashion is required.
• Strong fashion sensibility and ability to detect relevant trends.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Analytical profile.
• Product-oriented: able to compare leather/styles for pricing strategy.
• Rigorous and precise in collection structure analysis.
• Good communication skills to interact with various teams.
• Capable of managing stress and last-minute requests.
• Responsible for the collection's status.
• Fluent in English; French and Italian are a plus.
