Job Description
In conjunction with the Casino Manager, leads and manages the Casino operations including the core functions: day-to-day operational activities, guest relations, maintaining compliance in all gaming rules as per SQM, and directing the performance management of the Casino Staff.
Hiring Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience internally as a Senior Casino Supervisor with consistently high performance ratings. (shipboard experience preferred)
- One to two years of progressive supervisory experience in a casino function with resorts, cruise lines, and hotels.
- Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding rules and regulations.
- Ability to observe and recognize payout accuracy, dealer behavior, and associated activities.
- Satisfactory completion of Gaming Board/Commission approved dealer school.
- Ability to manage the financial aspects of a casino operation, including identifying expense reductions through cost efficiencies and revenue growth via promotional and up-selling activities. Ability to manage headcount within the area to support the vessel's business needs.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of policies and practices involved in human resources. Ability to manage international staff positively and productively by motivating, developing, and managing employees. Ability to utilize and administer disciplinary actions through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment.
- Proficient with computers, Internet access, and navigation within software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or the international equivalent preferred.
