Offer Description

The position is within the Simulation, Navigation and Propagation (SiNaP) axis of the SAMOVAR laboratory's ISTeC team. It focuses on antenna design and adaptation to circuits and systems, including beamforming, multi-antenna MIMO, or intelligent surface antennas (RIS), with applications in healthcare, future networks, or energy. Collaborations include academic partners (Télécom Paris, ESIGELEC, Sorbonne Université) and industrial/public partners (THALES, APHP).

The successful candidate will:

• Conduct research in antennas (study, design, characterization) and propagation modeling.
• Participate in teaching microwave and electronics courses (engineering cycle), radio systems, optics (Master M1-M2, IP-Paris), and develop new courses in 5G/6G communications.
• Engage in obtaining research funding (ANR, EU, BPI), develop collaborations, and participate in the Saclay ecosystem.
• Have good experience with RF design/simulation tools and RF instrumentation.
• Possess experience in higher education, research (post-doc), or industry.
• Initial experience in research project management.
• Enjoy teamwork and interdisciplinarity.

Research experience with international teams and multicultural experience are highly valued.

Qualifications include:

• Ph.D. in Antennas, Radio, Telecommunications, or related fields.
• Teaching experience.
• Strong research record (publications) in relevant topics.
• Fluency in English; at least A2 level in French.
