This position will be responsible to create and to develop business relationships with existing and new customers to maintain and grow a sustainable and profitable business. This position will also be responsible for managing our distributors in developing growth plans and ensuring objectives are met. The position will work closely with the sales team, technical service and marketing group to ensure proper support and alignment.

Job Description

1. Drive regional sales across defined EMEA territories : lead the commercial strategy and execution across assigned EMEA markets, delivering revenue growth through direct accounts and distributor networks

2. Own high value direct accounts with technical-commercial depth : manage strategic customer portfolios (both Cosmetics, but also HI&I and agricultural), by building deep relationships with R&D, innovation and procurement teams – understanding their needs to offer tailored ingredient solutions

3. Lead and enable distributor excellence through strategic guidance : provide strategic direction, performance evaluation and tactical support to distributors to elevate their market penetration, portfolio focus and customer engagement in line with company objectives

4. Deliver on sales targets and budget commitments : own ambitious sales targets and regional budget allocation across assigned territories, ensuring strong ROI across direct and indirect channels

5. Customize go-to-market strategies by territory : tailor commercial strategies to local market dynamics, accounting for regulatory landscapes, formulation trends, consumer behavior and competitive ingredients positioning unique to each territory

6. Translate technical innovation into client value : partner with internal technical, marketing and application lab teams to ensure alignment between customer demands and product capabilities – bridging science and sales in client interactions

7. Own forecast accuracy and pipeline discipline : utilize CRM tools to maintain a reliable sales pipeline with clear forecasting, account level insights and actionable updates for leadership visibility and operational planning

8. Identify New Business Opportunities : uncover and quantify growth opportunities (and risks) for Elementis products to drive profitable growth for Elementis, together with Marketing and Technical Service

9. Champion innovation and sustainability in sales execution : align all sales activities with the company’s commitment to innovation, compliance and sustainable ingredient sourcing

Additional Job Description

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Sciences, Chemistry, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales management
  • Good knowledge of and sales experience in the Personal Care industry, knowledge of Household and Agrochemicals for Consumer markets is a plus
  • Understanding value proposition and ability to comprehend complex and technical details
  • Demonstrated success of growing a sales territory and selling new products
  • Prior experience in managing distributors is a plus
  • Proven track record in developing and growing business
  • Fluent in English; any other European language is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Frequent traveling required
