Description:
The Head of Autonomous Production Unit (APU) and Maintenance is jointly responsible for the overall performance of the factory. They are a member of the factory management team and oversee the operational performance and functioning of factory production and maintenance teams.
Tasks in APU (Production) Management:
- Implements and complies with the Group's production plans and standard processes.
- Achieves financial objectives: budget preparation and management of actual production costs, margin and productivity improvements.
- Manages the APU team: ensures adequate staffing levels, maintains a working environment that complies with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards, identifies staffing needs and recommends training actions, shares information (transparency), participates in career management initiatives, etc.
- Evaluates, coaches and develops the APU team.
- Represents the factory to the customer: complies with the customer's specifications, implements preventive and corrective measures in the production, ensures good coordination with the customer's quality team.
- Implements action plans to improve functionality/productivity and achieve Programme and Group objectives, and makes the necessary adjustments.
- Deploys, applies and complies with Lean Management standards as well as Quality methods and standards.
- Coordinates resource planning with the factory's industrialisation department with regard to stocks, equipment, personnel, activities, etc.
- Maintains dashboard indicators and reports to manage lead times, supply chain targets, HSE performance, etc.
Maintenance Section:
- Manages and coordinates both preventive and corrective maintenance requirements for all manufacturing equipment.
- Manages the site maintenance team: ensures adequate staffing levels, maintains a working environment that complies with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards, identifies staffing needs and recommends training actions.
- Evaluates, coaches and develops the maintenance team.
- Participates in the integration of new projects and equipment into the factory, development of industrial plans and manages the site maintenance and industrialisation budget.
- Participates in the definition of new equipment to meet manufacturing, maintenance, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Contributes, in conjunction with the Methods department, to defining the technical specifications for modifications to existing equipment and facilities.
- Defines and supervises the quality, cost and deadline objectives given to external companies during their intervention.
- Oversees safety actions related to technical aspects according Group's safety policy and collaborates with HSE department.
Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years' experience in production environment with min. 3 years leading production teams
- Ideally Automotive T1 background or other manufacturing environment with similar quality management standards and regulations, audits, etc.
- Ideally fluent (B1 minimum) in English and fluent French
- Practical knowledge of production and work organisation methods: KANBAN, 5S, Hoshin, Equipment Care, etc.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes, quality and environmental standards in Automotive or related field
- Technical knowledge of electronics, automation, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity
