We are seeking our next Junior Risk Modeler for Natural Catastrophes apprentice starting in September 2025 for a duration of 1 year at our AXA Headquarters.

Location: 25 avenue Matignon, 8th arrondissement, Paris.

Within Group Risk Management, you will join the Natural Peril Modeling team as a Junior Risk Modeler for Natural Catastrophes.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in developing and implementing the next-generation Severe Convective Storm risk model for Europe, focusing on hazard and vulnerability modules.
• Contribute to enhancing the spatial and financial disaggregation modules to better capture AXA’s portfolio in natural catastrophe modeling.

YOUR PROFILE

• Currently in the final year of a master’s program in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• Strong interest in academic research, climate modeling, and climate change issues.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and R.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and autonomous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
