Airbus offers you a work-study contract covering both your training at the Airbus Cybersecurity School (in partnership with Ynov Campus, Toulouse) and your apprenticeship at Airbus.

This opportunity is open only to students who have completed their Bachelor: Cybersecurity analyst in the aeronautical sector (Bac +3) with the Airbus Cybersecurity School and who wish to pursue their academic journey for an additional two years with a Master's degree (RNCP level 7).

Airbus Cybersecurity School

Airbus offers a comprehensive and immersive cybersecurity work-study apprenticeship programme, alternating between studying at the Airbus Cybersecurity School and working within our operational teams (Digital & IM, Corporate Security, etc.).

An advanced technical training

You will explore the full range of cybersecurity activities, focusing on their application in aerospace, opening opportunities across Airbus business units.

Your apprenticeship

An apprenticeship titled "Apprentice embedded network security architecture - SeL4 & Yocto study (M/F)" is available at Airbus PROTECT, Blagnac site.

You will join the IT / Product A&SD department, supporting customers in security architecture topics, within one of the 4th security architecture teams, consisting of 14 members.

This apprenticeship begins in September 2025 and lasts for 2 years.

Note: Security clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of a manager, you will identify your professional objectives and develop your skills. Your main activities will include:

• Studying the security properties of SeL4, an open-source microkernel with proven security features.
• Building a system based on SeL4, utilizing its security features, such as partitioning web applications from databases.
• Ensuring kernel evolution preserves security properties.
• Developing Security Architecture within security by design and network security.
• Finalizing tests and lessons learned from Yocto solutions.
• Designing and developing demonstrators according to Airbus methodologies.

Key Deliverables

• Security architecture report with risk assessment
• Lessons learned on Yocto study & tests
• Proof of Concept of SeL4 for embedded architecture
• Documentation on SeL4 for embedded architecture

Skills & Prerequisites

You must have completed your Bachelor: Cybersecurity analyst in the aeronautical sector (Bac +3) with the Airbus Cybersecurity School.

You will develop skills in:

• Product architecture
• Network technology (switch, router, DNS, TCP/IP)
• Network security principles (Firewall, Proxy, Probe)
• System administration and hardening
• Microkernel-based architecture
• Basic scripting (PowerShell/Bash), development (Python, SQL), and DevOps tools (GitHub)

Soft skills required include organization, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving.

Language skills:

• English: Advanced
• French: Fluent
