We are looking for our next Junior Risk Modeler For Natural Catastrophes apprentice as of September 2025 and for 1 year at our AXA Headquarters!

Location: 25 avenue Matignon, 8th arrondissement Paris.

Within Group Risk Management, you will join the Natural Peril modeling team as a Junior Risk Modeler for Natural Catastrophes.

What You’ll Do
  1. Actively participate in the development and implementation of the next generation of Severe Convective Storm internal risk model in Europe for both hazard and vulnerability module.
  2. Contribute to the improvement of the spatial and financial disaggregation module which aims to better capture AXA’s portfolio in the natural catastrophe modelling.
Who You Are
  1. Currently in the last year of a master’s degree program in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, or a related field, such as engineering.
  2. Strong interest in academic research, climate modeling and climate change problematics.
  3. Strong analytical mindset, proficient programming skills (Python, R).
  4. Meticulous attention to details and autonomy to execute tasks.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
