Role Overview

The primary role of the regulatory engineer is to define applicable regulatory requirements and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  1. Define applicable regulatory requirements and verify compliance at all project stages.
  2. Determine regulatory classification of components or equipment where applicable.
  3. Draft and verify regulatory documents such as Hazard Analyses, Nuclear Material Appraisals, Visual Examination Specifications, and Defect Reports.
  4. Engage in discussions with stakeholders including customers, notified bodies, suppliers, and the French Nuclear Safety Authority on regulatory topics.
  5. Support project teams in applying the technical framework.
  6. Issue regulatory advice to facilitate the lifting of hold points during manufacturing, especially during critical activities, identifying unmet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Education Requirement: Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
