Job Description

Within the Materials Department of the Technical Directorate at Safran Transmission Systems, you will join the Expertise service, focusing on:

  • Analysis of parts from tests to support maturity and certification of equipment
  • Analysis of parts from in-service failures
This role offers the opportunity to work in laboratory and industrial environments, developing skills in:
  • Metallurgical microstructure of materials
  • Metallurgical preparation and characterization techniques (binocular, optical microscope, durometer, MEB...)
  • Integration and functional testing of components (mainly bearings and gears)
  • Failure analysis methodology
Complementary Description

Your curiosity, rigor, and teamwork skills will be valuable assets. An interest in experimental work and the ability to document findings in writing, in English or French, are essential. An interest in mechanics is also appreciated.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be enrolled in a Bac+2/3 program, specifically preparing for a professional degree in metallurgy through an apprenticeship program developed in partnership with Safran Transmission Systems and CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers). This program specializes in metallurgical processes and treatments applied to the aerospace industry. Program title: Licence Professionnelle Métallurgie, mise en forme des matériaux et soudage.
