Reporting to the Sheet Metal Department of the Purchasing Department at Safran Aircraft Engines, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting Buyers in their daily tasks:
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Drafting contracts and amendments
  • Preparing, sending, and analyzing calls for tender
  • Preparing and participating in negotiations
  • Monitoring contractual commitments: market share, safety stock, deliveries
  • Following Quality/Cost/Supply Chain/Industrialization issues within a multidisciplinary team
  • Participating in the Purchasing department activities:
    • Updating supplier files based on procurement strategies
    • Managing purchase contracts, updating prices, resolving disputes
    • Maintaining procurement dashboards (productivity, contractualization, volumes)
  • Key focus of the internship:
    • Mastering international procurement specifics to ensure compliance with procedures (negotiating and establishing customs agreements, specific purchase contracts)
    • Participating in the development of a Purchasing Policy
    • Contributing to Supplier Purchasing Policies
    • Assisting in reducing engine costs per program through idea generation, planning, and deployment of actions
    Additional Information

    In the context of the market recovery and economic challenges, you will support the Buyer in various missions within an international environment and contribute to deploying procurement strategies aimed at reducing component costs.

    About You

    Currently enrolled in a BAC+3/4 program at a Business or Engineering School, preferably with a specialization in Purchasing/Supply Chain, with an interest in aerospace and industrial fields.

    Skills required include:

    • Fluent in English (international negotiations)
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Good interpersonal skills, rigorous, creative, dynamic, with strong synthesis abilities
    • Autonomous and curious about technical details
