Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking Applied Scientists Interns and Research Engineers Interns to drive innovative research and deliver high-impact AI solutions across modalities. You will work across text, image, and speech to develop SOTA models and practical applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams in Paris or London.

You will contribute to data generation, model evaluation, and deployment, while writing clean Python and fast, scalable code.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with PyTorch or JAX and Python.
• Ability to navigate large codebases and ship results independently.

Responsibilities

• Run pre-training and post-training tasks and explore model deployment at scale.
• Collaborate with internal teams to work on multi-modal research use cases.
• Develop tools and scripts to support data generation, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Contribute to research projects and communicate progress with clients' teams.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
