Position Overview:

We are looking for an Applied Scientist to play a key role in designing and deploying cutting-edge AI-powered digital identity solutions. Join our team to collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and researchers to shape the future of secure authentication.

What you will be doing:

1. Provide technical leadership for a team of highly capable applied AI scientists, fostering a culture of creativity, technical depth, and excellence.
2. Initiate, plan, and drive projects that will bring the next generation of digital onboarding products to the real world, capable of withstanding aggressive and determined fraud attacks.
3. Design and build high-performance end-to-end systems covering all aspects of the identity verification application, from data acquisition to post-processing.
4. Mentor and collaborate with junior scientists to research and deliver innovative technologies utilizing every signal in the data.
5. Participate in hands-on machine learning research and translate findings into new products.
6. Communicate technical vision and roadmaps internally and externally.
7. Publish research results at national and international conferences and scientific journals, and represent Entrust in scientific forums.
8. Contribute to patent filings.

Essential Skills:

1. Strong experience in machine learning and computer vision, including deploying ML models to production.
2. Proven success in delivering high-performance ML-driven products.
3. Experience working with customers to solve impactful problems.
4. Deep understanding of machine learning theory.
5. Strong coding skills in Python and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience in uncertainty modeling, explainable ML, out-of-distribution detection, lifelong learning, and related fields.
2. Knowledge of signal and image processing techniques.
3. Familiarity with cloud computing (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, Git, etc.
