Amcor is seeking an Application Engineer for Hard Cheese Packaging in Europe. You will translate customer needs into packaging solutions at the intersection of customers, sales and R&D, working remotely across Europe.

You will collaborate with R&D, Product Management and Sales, lead trials, assess shelf-life and performance, and travel >50% as required. Fluency in English is required, and a degree in applied sciences supports a technical, cross‑functional role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application engineering or similar roles within flexible packaging in Hard Cheese segment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Applied) Sciences (Chemistry, Polymers, Material Sciences) or equivalent by experience.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials and customer manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to assess customer needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.

Responsabilités

• Act as a technical expert for packaging applications at customers manufacturing in Hard Cheese markets across EMEA.
• Support customers with product selection, application optimization, and effective product commercialization.
• Support product enhancements and new developments in collaboration with R&D and Product Management.
• Work closely with Sales and Field Technical Service to solve complex application issues.
• Lead and support product qualifications, trials, and scale-ups at customer sites.
• Conduct packaging line, shelf-life, and performance evaluations to demonstrate quantifiable customer value.
• Capture customer and market insights to identify portfolio gaps, innovation opportunities, and competitive trends.
• Share knowledge internally and contribute to building strong application capabilities across the organization.
