A leading sound technology company in France seeks an Application Engineer, Environmental Acoustics/Speakers. You will work directly with partners to optimize system designs and promote sustainable sound practices while ensuring compliance with acoustic specifications at festivals. Strong background in acoustics and excellent communication skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in acoustics, ideally with a focus on environmental acoustics / noise pollution.
  • Experience with festival sound impact studies or Environmental System Design projects.
  • Fluent in English.

The Application Project team provides operational support to our network of clients and end-users to guarantee their projects’ success at every stage through a premium customer experience. They provide sound system design support to venues, system engineers, audio consultants, and architects using our proprietary software: Soundvision. The Application Project team also provides on-site support to system and mixing engineers during festivals, tours, special events, musicals, and more.

The Application Engineer, Environmental Acoustics/Speakers, will combine technical expertise in acoustics with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll work directly with rental partners, acoustic consultants, and festival organizers to optimize system designs, reduce noise complaints, and promote sustainable sound practices.

  • Support rental and acoustical partners to ensure compliance with acoustic specifications at festivals.
  • Provide expertise in environmental acoustics and noise pollution management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with festival owners and organizers to reduce neighborhood impact.
  • Publish and promote academic or industry content to reinforce L-Acoustics’ leadership.
  • Serve as a recognized internal and external resource for Environmental System Design.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in acoustics, ideally with a focus on environmental acoustics / noise pollution.
  • Experience with festival sound impact studies or ESD projects.
  • Touring or live events background is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with external partners and internal teams.
