A gaming company is seeking an Anti Cheat Engineer to secure multiplayer gameplay by implementing anti-cheat solutions and addressing vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong Unreal Engine and C/C++ experience and will work remotely, contributing to a team dedicated to maintaining game integrity and security.
This position is key to maintaining fair play, securing our network, and supporting developers with best practices in game security.
- Own, integrate and maintain anti-cheat solutions within the game engine (e.g., Epic Online Services)
- Ensure the security of game clients and servers
- Analyze and address vulnerabilities, cheats, and exploits
- Protect low-level network interactions
- Develop and maintain documentation on best game security practices
- Train developers and content managers on security measures
- Monitor and improve anti-cheat systems and processes
- Unreal Engine 4,5 - solid experience, minimum 4-5 years
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ with understanding of multithreading
- Experience with Epic Online Services (anti-cheat) or similar integrations
- Understanding of networking technologies and multiplayer game vulnerabilities
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, analytical mindset, problem-solving ability
- Ability to perform reverse engineering to analyze malicious code
- Reverse engineering skills, experience with IDA Pro or Ghidra
- Experience with packet capturing and traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
- Experience with Web3
