JOB DESCRIPTION

Being an Android engineer in vpTech involves:

- Being part of a fully agile, distributed team of 810 engineers;

- Supporting and improving the quality of the Android application, adding new features to enhance user experience;

- Creating specialized tools for developers and contributing to the mobile community.

We are seeking an Android Developer (Kotlin / Java) to join the Offer Discovery and Check Out Experience tribe (within the Distribution Channels domain) at vpTech.

TASKS

• Propose and develop new solutions aligned with technical and functional project needs;
• Maintain high code quality and resolve challenges following team guidelines and conventions;
• Ensure features meet functional and technical standards through unit and integration testing;
• Improve user experience (UX);
• Ensure CI processes are followed, maintaining application availability, stability, and performance;
• Participate actively in prototype creation and support innovation at Veepee;
• Contribute to code reviews.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• At least 2 years of experience in Android application development;
• Passion for software development and problem solving;
• Strong experience with Kotlin and Java;
• Good knowledge of Android Studio and Android SDK;
• Understanding of software design patterns;
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger;
• Strong skills in unit testing;
• Knowledge of MVVM architecture;
• Experience with reactive programming (RxJava);
• Ability to implement Continuous Integration techniques;
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
