Job summary

Alan, Belgium-based health insurance innovator, is looking for an Insurance Pricing & Business professional. You will price and shape offers for large corporates and public institutions, and act as a trusted technical advisor in client meetings.

You will design insurance products that fit member needs and regulation, and support account managers in renewals, including indexation and loss-ratio discussions. This role blends actuarial rigor with business impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an actuarial, pricing or underwriting role, ideally on health, hospitalisation or group insurance
• Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a strong plus
• Scientific background with an analytical, structured approach
• Able to discuss technical, data, legal and business questions with clients and teams
• Willing to transform the insurance industry with a business-oriented mindset

The Insurance Team

• We build and manage offers for large companies and public institutions with our sales and account management teams.

• We make sure our portfolio is closely monitored and risks are effectively managed.

• We also manage our capital, steer our reinsurance strategy and maintain a trusting relationship with our insurance regulators.

The Insurance Pricing & Business role in Belgium

The role is to:

• Price and shape offers with our sales teams for large corporates and public institutions,

• Act as a trusted technical advisor in client meetings,

• Design insurance products that fit member needs and regulation,

• Support account managers in renewing our most strategic clients, including indexation and loss-ratio conversations.

In Belgium, recent missions include:

• Build winning products and pricing strategies to unlock new segments

• Bring insurance expertise to help us sign the largest customers in Belgium, including public tenders

• Strengthen our competitiveness through coverage and price trade-offs

• Work with engineers to build tools to create tailored insurance offers at scale

• Be part of an insurance community at the global level, with an impact on our organisation, hiring and training across multiple countries.

Is it you we're looking for?

You may be a great fit for the role if:

• You have 3+ years of experience in an actuarial, pricing or underwriting role, ideally on health, hospitalisation or group insurance

• You are fluent in English and Dutch; French is a strong plus

• You combine a scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) with an analytical, structured and fact-based way of working

• You are comfortable navigating technical, data, legal and business questions with clients and internal teams

• You are excited to bring technical expertise into a business-centric context, and are at ease with ambiguity

• You have a builder mindset: you continuously identify opportunities to improve and scale processes and tools

• You communicate in a clear, structured and to-the-point way in English (written and spoken)

• You are willing to deeply change the insurance industry and challenge the status quo

For this role, we are looking to hire within the C1-E level range. It is based in Belgium with remote work flexibility.
