Alan is hiring for an Executive Ops & Product Builder to shape strategy, drive cross-functional alignment, and craft scalable solutions across our global services. You will own high-impact initiatives that influence Alan's P&L and member experience, leading with a clear vision and robust roadmaps.

You will join 80+ Ops teammates, collaborating across France, Belgium, Spain, and beyond, to scale new services while maintaining high standards of execution and impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Operations management or entrepreneurship.
• Fluent in English and Spanish or French or Dutch.
• Strong structure and analytical skills, including SQL for data analysis.
• Own high-ambiguity, high-impact initiatives (>€10M/year).
• Able to define a clear vision and roadmap, and drive make-vs-buy decisions.
• Mentor others and drive AI/automation across crews.

Operations at Alan

Behind Alan's performance lies an Operations team that is anything but back-office. At Alan, Ops is a strategic function: we define the vision, build the systems, and own the outcomes that make our insurance and healthcare products work at scale.

As a Senior Ops & Product Builder, you will own some of the most critical and ambiguous challenges in the company. You will shape strategy, drive cross-functional alignment, and build solutions with lasting impact on Alan's P&L and member experience.

You’ll be joining 80+ talented, committed, passionate Ops team members working globally on all our services. You’ll be among the team mates structuring this community.

The challenges

We are looking for driven professionals and entrepreneurs with a strong operational background to disrupt the way we traditionally think about insurance or healthcare. Our goal is to delight our members everywhere as we keep on scaling and building new services in France and internationally.

The job description is simple: you set the vision, make the hard calls, and own the outcome.

Here are some examples of missions our team is covering that you could lead:

• Saving millions through fraud detection: Building a detection capability with no playbook. Owning make-vs-buy decisions on tooling, balancing precision against member experience at scale, and managing the external surface. Partner negotiations, industry lobbying, and ecosystem-level fraud strategy.
• Building a global recovery engine: Establishing a billing monitoring framework to identify gaps early on. Then building assets & partnerships to drive costs down : designing a global recovery system that adapts to local legislation to support Alan’s expansion. With millions invoiced every month and high growth, the impact on P&L is direct.
• Scaling psychotherapy online sessions: Defining the operating model from scratch, making hard resourcing decisions under uncertainty, managing quality at scale, and driving international replication. Today: 80,000 sessions were delivered & 93% of users report reduced stress.
• Reinventing healthcare expense payment: Challenging a key French health insurance item (Tiers Payant), owning complex supplier negotiations autonomously, and cutting the budget line by more than half while improving member satisfaction.

If you have some of the following, you may be a great fit

• You have at least 10 years of professional experience in Operations management or entrepreneurship
• You are fully fluent in English and Spanish or French or Dutch
• You have a high level of structure and strong analytical skills (including Sql fluency for data analysis)
• You independently own high-ambiguity, high-impact initiatives (typically >10M€/year business impact)
• You excel at defining a clear vision and roadmap on your scope, lead product reviews, and drive make-or-buy decisions
• You make hard prioritization calls with partial information and manage key external partnerships autonomouslyYou are a thought leader and implement innovative uses of AI and automation across crews
• You are a strong mentor: you make the people around you better, and you drive significant community impact

For this role we are looking to hire within the E-F level range based out of France, Belgium or Spain.
