BU CDMO is gathering more than 1,000 employees based in 7 sites located in Europe and the USA. It is a leading player in the fast-growing CDMO market (ADC, Omega3…) with technology-driven differentiation such as chromatography, hazardous chemistry, cryogeny, and flow chemistry.

The industrial site of Chasse sur Rhône (20 min south of Lyon – served by train - 280 employees) is classified SEVESO 3 upper threshold and specializes in the development and custom production of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

As part of a job creation, we are looking for a Process Development Analytical Support Engineer (M / F) within the Process Development department.

Directly attached to the head of the Process Development laboratory, you mainly carry out the following missions:

  • You work closely with the synthesis or chromatography process development teams within the Process Development laboratory, analytical referent, process support from the definition of analytical needs to the delivery of deliverables.
  • You supervise a team of two technicians, establish and manage your own schedule in interface with the Methods and Projects Pole of the Quality Control Department / Methods and Projects Pole.
  • You perform data recording, analysis, and synthesis of results.
  • You write the reports and develop the various documents necessary for the internal or external communication of the results.
  • You support the R&D chemist team to meet the analytical needs of the various customer projects, whether in the context of:

• the evaluation of new synthetic routes requiring the choice and development of new methods or the development/optimization of processes. In this context, you will be required to adapt analytical methods in interface with the Methods and Projects Pole laboratory.

• continuous improvement of existing products or investigation related to production.

  • Ensure that HSE instructions are strictly followed and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the site safety culture.
  • You ensure the efficient management of consumables and necessary orders.
  • You ensure the maintenance plan of the analytical park under your responsibility and ensure the quality of the results obtained by the users.
  • You monitor innovations and new technical offers in terms of analysis (technology watch).

Qualifications

Chemical engineer, you have a recognized experience in Research and Development in the field of the analysis of complex organic molecules acquired in the field of fine chemistry or pharmaceuticals.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sense of communication, responsiveness, and strong capacity for adhesion and federation.
  • You know how to combine autonomy and teamwork and have a strong customer orientation in terms of commitment and results.
  • Enthusiasm, open-mindedness, adaptability, and listening skills.
  • You master analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UPLC, NMR, HPLC-MS, GC-MS, and wet chemical analysis techniques.
  • You master the mathematical and computer tools necessary for the interpretation and rendering of results.
  • You know the health and safety rules specific to chemical risk.
