About the Role
This position sits within VINCI Energies Systems Information (VESI) and is focused on making SAP-related costs understandable, comparable, and controllable. The role exists to build and run a structured SAP FinOps approach across the group. You will work across technical, financial, and organizational stakeholders, with direct reporting to the Group CIO. The role involves close collaboration with SAP implementation teams, Accounting, Legal, DevOps, Authorizations, and Cybersecurity. The main objective is to identify cost drivers, support continuous optimization, and help teams make informed decisions that balance performance, security, and spend.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and lead the SAP FinOps approach for the group.
- Deploy the defined SAP FinOps framework.
- Run FinOps governance forums and report to the Group CIO.
- Identify cost optimization levers, including oversizing, unused environments or services, and uncontrolled SAP BTP usage.
- Embed cost considerations early in solution design.
- Support SAP teams in the ongoing optimization of usage.
- Work with DevOps, Authorizations, and Cybersecurity teams to recommend practical trade-offs between performance, security, and cost.
- Collaborate with SAP solution teams, Accounting, and Legal.
- Anticipate and prepare SAP contract renewals.
- Define and share FinOps best practices with IT and Finance teams.
- Monitor technology and track developments in cloud offerings and FinOps tools.
Required Skills
- Higher education degree (Bac+5) in IT, information systems, finance, management, or engineering.
- Initial experience in an IT, Cloud, IT Finance, or FinOps environment.
- Strong curiosity, structure, and autonomy.
- Ability to analyze cost data and build clear reporting.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and act as a facilitator.
- Pedagogical, pragmatic, and synthesis-oriented approach.
- Ability to propose concrete, actionable recommendations.
- Fluent English.
- Strong command of management tools, especially advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to analyze and structure data.
- Good understanding of SAP environments, including S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
- Understanding of cloud economic models, including usage-based consumption.
