FinOps Weekly in Paris seeks a seasoned FinOps professional to oversee internal cloud spend and support customer accounts. You will collaborate with Finance, Tech and Architects to improve cost reporting and governance on Google Cloud Platform services.

Role focuses on cost visibility, optimization and industrialization with a maturity framework, using BigQuery, Looker, Node.js and React to drive savings and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 degree in engineering or computer science.
• Strong interest in financial management and cloud cost control.
• At least 5 years in a FinOps or cloud-finance role.
• Strong command of raw GCP billing data analysis using BigQuery and SQL.
• Experience with data in a web environment using visualization with Node.js and React.

Responsabilités

• Implement tagging and labelling to improve cloud spend visibility.
• Build and maintain Looker dashboards for Business Units.

About the Role

This role sits within S3NS’s FinOps function and is focused on controlling internal cloud spend while providing financial support for customer accounts. It supports a cloud offering equivalent to Google Cloud Platform services, including IaaS and PaaS, and aligned with SecNumCloud requirements. The work is structured around the three core FinOps pillars: Information, Optimization and Industrialization. A maturity framework is also part of the scope, with the goal of driving continuous improvement across cost visibility, optimization and governance. You will work closely with Finance, Tech, architects and Business Units to strengthen cloud cost control, improve reporting and support better financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement rigorous tagging and labelling practices to ensure full visibility into cloud spend.
• Build and maintain Looker dashboards for different Business Units.
• Track cost movements and identify consumption anomalies in real time.
• Detect underused or orphaned resources, such as idle instances and unattached storage volumes.
• Recommend purchasing strategies including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and Spot instances.
• Partner with architects to improve resource sizing through rightsizing.
• Lead steering committees between Finance and Tech.
• Define KPIs such as unit cloud cost per transaction or per user.
• Set budgets and alerting mechanisms to support accountability for application owners.
• Support internal spend control and financial support for customer accounts.
• Contribute to the deployment of a maturity framework and continuous improvement plans.
