Main Purpose of the Role

Support DCM originators in developing a sustainable, client-focused primary markets origination business in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist MUFG’s DCM origination efforts in the EU, focusing on corporate issuers.
  • Analyze market data, conduct research on client industries, credit dynamics, and market developments, and present findings to support discussions.
  • Support transactions by reviewing documentation, handling deal notifications, and gathering information for KYC procedures.
  • Build relationships within Capital Markets and other departments to ensure effective collaboration and a relevant peer network globally.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of core products within Capital Markets and their role in client discussions.
  • Perform daily tasks such as market monitoring, preparing presentations, updating Excel models, communicating with clients, and bond pricing.
  • Skills to develop include understanding bond markets, creating tailored presentation materials, and understanding client needs and bank capabilities.
Qualifications and Personal Requirements
  • Advanced university studies in Business, Finance, Economics, or International Studies.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language (e.g., French, Spanish, German).
  • International experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking is highly valued.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards.
  • Self-starter with ownership mentality.
  • Interest in financial markets and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload and prioritize effectively.
  • Resilience and calmness under pressure.
