This Chair aligns with CNRS's priorities in the themes of “Mathematics for humans and their interaction with planet Earth” and “Artificial Intelligence,” emphasizing fundamental aspects. It involves multidisciplinary fields such as geometry, probability, analysis, and their applications across sciences.
The selected candidate will strengthen active research teams in these themes, focusing on analysis—including infinitesimal calculus, partial differential equations, calculus of variations, harmonic analysis, spectral analysis, microlocal analysis, geometric analysis, analysis on manifolds, complex analysis, optimal transport, control theory, and functional inequalities linked to probability.
The candidate will participate in high-level mathematical teaching and may also deliver interdisciplinary courses related to the Chair's themes.
CNRS promotes open science, aiming for full accessibility of research outputs via repositories like HAL, and encourages dissemination through publications, patents, software, and engagement with various audiences through tools like websites, newsletters, conferences, and outreach activities.
