Description du poste

DASSAULT SYSTEMES is looking for a motivated SR. Legal Counsel – Intellectual Property to join our Legal team in our Waltham, MA office, in an onsite / hybrid role.

As a member of our North American legal team, you will support a wide range of IP issues, including managing IP contractual matters, M&A due diligence, IP litigation, and other legal responsibilities.

  1. Draft and negotiate inbound licensing agreements for third-party software components included in Dassault Systèmes Group products, in collaboration with Research and Development teams.
  2. Provide IP-related support for other agreements such as partnerships, outbound licenses, and service agreements.
  3. Facilitate feedback and approval from internal cross-functional groups.
  4. Assist in growth-related operations, including M&A due diligence and IP integration.
  5. This role is not focused on patents; patent bar admission is not required.

Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school.
  2. Admission to the Massachusetts, California, or other state bar.
  3. 6+ years of legal experience in technology agreements, from a law firm or in-house, or both.
  4. Candidates with a combined 6+ years of legal and technical experience will be considered.

Additional requirements include:

  • Hybrid work at DS local office.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
  • Experience with open source software and commercial software contracts negotiation.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, team-oriented, process-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and receptive to coaching.
  • Technologically curious with a history of self-education in technology.

Compensation ranges from $160,000 to $190,000, including base salary and bonus.
