Location for this position is flexible and can be based in one of Spin Master's offices in Europe.

What will you work on?

As the AMZ Europe Assistant Category Manager, you will support the Category Managers to create and execute the merchandising strategy for Spin Master’s brands on Amazon UK and EU platforms. You will collaborate with Marketing leads in UK and EU to deliver the GPS objectives for our brands. Your focus is to deliver best-in-class Amazon experiences across each EU country site, including UK, partnering with local teams to drive digital shelf excellence. This involves driving traffic and conversion for our catalogue portfolio and optimizing aspects of the digital shelf such as availability, placement, content compliance, and review sentiment. As part of the AMZ EU Category Marketing Team, you will utilize available technology and tools to guide business decisions.

How will you create impact?

  1. Provide support to develop, standardize, and execute best-in-class e-commerce strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing, and eCOE teams.
  2. Work collaboratively with your immediate AMZ EU team and internal stakeholders in markets (brand, sales, marketing, finance).
  3. Manage and organize the priority catalogue portfolio across Amazon Europe.
  4. Drive and review content compliance strategies for new and existing brands/products.
  5. Leverage digital tools to analyze and review sentiment for new launches.
  6. Manage and align Amazon EU/UK marketing budgets and plans, sharing best practices for peak seasons, events, and launches throughout the year.
  7. Partner with the AMZ Retail Media Agency across EU/UK to measure effectiveness and ROI, aiming to drive both organic and sponsored search and sales.
  8. Assist teams in optimizing product listings using expertise in keyword research, digital marketing, SEM, online display advertising, and SEO from inception to execution.
  9. Collaborate and partner with licensors to build and drive brand execution on site.

What are your skills and experience?

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related eCommerce field required; MBA is a plus.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or as a specialist, preferably within toy, retail, or consumer products companies.
  3. Successful experience implementing and maintaining digital/eCommerce systems.
  4. Knowledge of Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, or Merchandising.
  5. Advanced knowledge of the Amazon.com ecosystem and flywheel.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Strong data analytics, problem-solving, reporting, business modeling, and forecasting skills.
  8. Experience managing and organizing priority catalogues across Amazon Europe.
  9. Working knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
  10. Working knowledge of retail media (Amazon Advertising) is an asset.
  11. Technical experience in digital shelf tools and Amazon automation is an asset.
  12. Experience with digital shelf tools such as Profitero, Keepa, or CommerceIQ is an asset.
  13. Strong project management skills, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  14. Ability to formulate high-level strategies and define specific actions.
  15. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  16. Able to handle, organize, and analyze large data sets.
  17. Ability to adapt to changing reporting systems and interpret data effectively.
  18. Strong presentation and collaboration skills with internal and external teams.
