The Technical Consultant is a service-minded individual with a solid technical expertise in charge of implementing and configuring trading platforms for our clients. In this role, you will implement and enhance BTCS trading systems for Agency and Principal trading desks within the context of client delivery projects.

This position will lead to a deeper understanding of international financial markets and to an excellent knowledge of our product suite.

Within the Trading Solution Delivery department, you will deliver Client Platform implementations following an Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

1. Work with a project manager, solution product manager, other technical consultants, and a technical lead in an agile team to take responsibility for the full delivery lifecycle of trading solutions from the pre-signature analysis phase to the handover to customer support teams.
2. Work with our clients to analyze their requirements and issues from a business, functional, and technical perspective;
3. Define functional and technical solutions to solve complex client requirements;
4. Assist project managers in estimating and sizing work;
5. Configure, integrate, and customize our products to fulfill the client's business requirements and test the implemented workflows;
6. Provide demonstrations and training to internal and external stakeholders;
7. Proactively improve processes to promote better quality and safer deployments;
8. Enhance your business and technical knowledge of international financial markets relating to principal and agency trading, equities and derivatives, FX, and fixed income asset classes; and develop your understanding of Broadridge products which serve these businesses.

Your profile

1. University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or equivalent;
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in related roles;
3. Experience in a client-facing technical support role or an implementation / delivery role;
4. Experience with FIX and other exchange protocols;
5. Source control systems (Git);
6. System administration, shell scripting, and networking experience;
7. Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and oral English;
8. Autonomy, organization, and a strong sense of accountability;
9. Strong problem solving skills.
10. C++ and / or Java programming experience is a plus;
11. Experience in the finance industry is a strong plus, such as in principal or agency trading systems, market connectivity, and / or asset classes such as equities, derivatives, structured products, FX, and fixed income.
