Alternance - Product Manager Junior (F/H)

Date posted 03/13 | Location La Defense, France | Company Worldline

Worldline helps businesses of all sizes accelerate their growth—quickly, simply, and securely. We are innovators at the heart of the payment technology industry, shaping the way the world pays and is paid. Our technology powers the growth of millions of companies across 5 continents. We are committed to helping our employees advance their careers as we help our clients accelerate their activities. Together, we shape evolution.

The opportunity

Within MTS Track & Trace, new challenges arise following the implementation of various European directives promoting product circularity, eco-design, and transparency regarding the origin and environmental and social impacts of manufactured and sold products. The EU's new regulation, "Ecodesign for Sustainable Products," published on March 30, aims to significantly reduce primary energy consumption and improve counterfeit control.

This regulation requires industry to adapt by providing a digital passport for each product manufactured or imported into Europe. In 2025, the textile and electric battery sectors will be the first to comply with these new standards and introduce the digital passport.

Worldline, with its experience in implementing European traceability directives for tobacco, is a member of the European consortium CIRPASS since its inception. This initiative focuses on the digital product passport's architecture and implementation.

Your role in our Track & Trace team will be to support the product manager in analyzing the market for the digital passport, developing and positioning our products strategically, and implementing them on the market. You should have a thorough understanding of the ecosystem, share your analyses, and document product requirements and priorities across various application domains (textile, batteries, construction materials, etc.).

Joining this position means becoming part of a young, dynamic, and motivated team. You will play a key role in a rapidly growing field that reflects the economic and environmental challenges faced by industry.

Your daily responsibilities

Within the MTS International Products and Projects entity, you will be supervised by the Product Manager responsible for the "Track & Trace" unit and will be part of a team comprising Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Business Developers.

For products in the "Track & Trace - Digital Product Passport" portfolio, your role will be to assist the product manager across five management axes:

  1. Market analysis
  2. Strategic planning (strategy, pricing, business plan)
  3. Product planning (UX design, portfolio management, roadmap)
  4. Market launch (positioning, market access, marketing plan)
  5. Sales enablement (sales materials, lead generation, evangelization)

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders such as software and service delivery experts, sales teams, finance, and legal departments.

Initially, your missions will focus on two main axes: "Strategic Planning" and "Product Planning":

  1. Develop our understanding of the emerging market ecosystem around the Digital Product Passport.
  2. Review and map partners, actors, and European directives in this dynamic context.
  3. Work with the product manager to define the positioning strategy for Worldline within this ecosystem.
  4. Create analyses and reports on market trends.
  5. Participate in forming key partnerships and developing technical solutions.
  6. Coordinate product-related projects with the product manager.
Who are you?

We seek individuals capable of driving positive change, proactive, and inspiring others—passionate, positive-minded, eager to learn and grow.

This apprenticeship position is suitable for various profiles combining technical skills with business acumen:

  1. Engineering students aiming to transition into business roles
  2. Business school students with strong technical interest or background

Soft skills include:

  1. Enjoy analyzing and understanding market and technical trends
  2. Motivated and passionate about technical and environmental issues related to circular economy and European directives (Green Deal, Digital Services Act, EcoDesign for Sustainable Products)
  3. Find satisfaction in seeing results
  4. Prefer teamwork over solitary work
  5. Be autonomous but not independent
  6. Solution-oriented mindset
  7. Proficiency in English (minimum B2, C1 or higher preferred)
Benefits

As a future Worldliner, you will be at the forefront of the global payment technology sector and influence how payments are made worldwide. Additionally, you will:

  1. Join a company committed to sustainability and recognized among the top 1% most sustainable companies globally
  2. Work with inspiring colleagues and have opportunities for learning, development, and career acceleration (access to e-learning platforms)
  3. Enjoy various benefits, including:
  4. Annual bonuses (end-of-year, holiday, profit-sharing)
  5. 32 paid days off
  6. Public transport subsidy (50%)
  7. Active employee committee (events, trips, cultural and leisure subsidies)
  8. Participation in sports events (Corporate Games, races, etc.)
  9. Remote work options
  10. Subsidized company restaurant
  11. Health and insurance plans
