Alternance - International Energy Systems Modeling Engineer F/H (2025-135491)

Would you like to join a high-performing and responsible group? Put your talent to work at EDF, a leader in low-carbon growth.

You will be working at EDF’s Cap Ampère site in Saint Denis.

You will be responsible for building and researching datasets for new environments, with the goal of establishing a comprehensive set of assumptions. You will develop tools to update these datasets, and you will need to be able to model client issues by constructing various scenarios to answer the questions raised. You will also contribute to the development of new Python tools, designed to automate the execution of Plexos and analyze the resulting simulations.

Your contributions may support innovation activities, strategic planning, as well as studies conducted for external clients.

You will be part of the Electrical Systems Department, which is composed of 18 team members.

Desired profile

Engineering degree or Master’s in Energy Economics.

This is an 18 to 24-month apprenticeship contract.

A background in applied mathematics and proficiency in Python are valued. You are proficient in Plexos, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

You have a genuine interest in the technical challenges of the energy transition and a solid understanding of the economics of power systems.

Rigor, autonomy, and initiative are key qualities for this position.
