Who we are

Syntetica was founded in 2023 by Marco Bertone (LSE graduate, former Head of Growth at Selency) and Louis Monsigny (PhD). Our mission is ambitious: to decarbonise the textile industry by eliminating fossil-based materials from the production of synthetic textiles.

We have developed a groundbreaking technological process that recycles synthetic textile waste, such as nylon and elastane.

Since its inception, Syntetica has achieved remarkable milestones:

  • Secured €4.2M in funding from prestigious investors, including EQT Ventures, the family offices of Peugeot Family Office and the Etam Group, and athletes such as Paul-Henri Mathieu and Jean-Éric Vergne to accelerate growth and build a pre-industrial facility.
  • Forged key partnerships with major textile players such as Etam, Victoria's Secret, with plans to launch a recycled collection in 2026.
  • Assembled a core team of 11 experts, over half of whom hold PhDs in chemistry.

Syntetica is now seeking an Analytical Engineer to construct our analytical platform, notably our HPLC, GPC and other analyses!
