Who Are We?

Within Volvo Group Digital & IT, the Digital Quality & OPS department is responsible for:

  • Leading Lean transformations around IT topics for the entire Volvo Group;
  • Developing and deploying support tools for IT application maintenance;
  • Coordinating all IT audit activities;
  • Developing and deploying IT risk management tools;
  • Managing the portfolio of solutions used for IT processes (IT for IT solutions);
  • Developing and deploying support tools for IT teams at industrial sites (factories and logistics centers).

To succeed in this position, it is important to have good interpersonal communication, proactivity, an analytical profile, agile mindset, and logical reasoning.

Since we are part of an international group, it is expected that you can communicate with different teams in various countries such as India, Sweden, Brazil, Poland, the United States, China, Belgium, and France. For that, we need you. You should have a B2 level in English and be studying fields such as information technology, engineering, or similar.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Operations Management Apprentice to join our IT Operations team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various IT functions, including communication, IT support, and project management (using Agile practices). The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection and analysis of critical data: check available OBO dashboards, provide some analysis;
  • Creation and maintenance of process documentation: ensure that documentation is available, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, SOPs;
  • Register all requests in our backlog coming from Local IT teams and follow them during the entire lifecycle;
  • Structuring of workflows and operational organization: provide assistance and support to Local IT teams who have questions or need help with specific issues;
  • Active interface with OBO suppliers: support suppliers with training (preparation, scheduling, support material, knowledge transfer), facilitate collaboration between OBO groups and suppliers to ensure alignment and effective communication, engage and facilitate Yammer communities by posting content (share updates, articles, insights);
  • Creating and executing marketing and communication plans; contribute to the team’s digital identity creation.

We are looking for someone who can contribute to driving change within our Digital Quality & OPS department. Your interaction will primarily be with the IT Operation Management team. Additionally, you will participate in the development of processes/tools (SharePoint, Azure DevOps, PowerBI, ServiceNow, PowerApps…) that help optimize our activities.
