Job summary

Airbus Helicopters SAS in Marignane is seeking a Development Engineer Airframe to join the Airframe Design Engineering team for new platform programs. The role covers development of helicopter structures, from preliminary design to serial drawings and BOM creation, with emphasis on composite and metallic parts.

You will collaborate across departments, support industrialization, prototypes and certification activities in an international environment, leveraging Catia V5/SAP and MS Office/Google

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of composite materials and metallic lightweight materials.
• Helicopter knowledge and helicopter technology background.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• High flexibility, teamwork and autonomy.
• Experience with Catia V5, VPM and SAP.
• Proficient with MS Office/Google Workspace.
• French and English at negotiation level; German advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary design of helicopter structures, subassemblies and parts.
• Create drawings for prototypes, test rigs and serial components.
• Support industrialization and prototype flight testing.
• Coordinate certification activities and Type Certificate progress.
• Collaborate across departments on design and integration.
