Job Description:

Airbus R&T in the wing perimeter has focused a lot in the past years on the structural and industrial aspects, resulting in the Wing of Tomorrow concepts and ground prototypes.

An demonstrator, using disruptive wing technologies, focuses on wing performance and feasibility demonstration. Our goal is to fly a remote-controlled business jet, flying subsonic at classical Airbus aircraft altitudes, with a heavily instrumented scaled wing.

The eXtra Performance Wing Handling Qualities engineer (M/F) position is within Airbus UpNext and is a fixed-term mission until September 2025.

Missions

1. Produce Integrated Flight Dynamics Models (pre-flight and flight adjusted), Simulation Tools, and Frameworks for Handling Quality.
2. Validate data and software packages for Training Simulators and their qualification.

What you bring:

• Degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Flight Dynamics, Test, and/or Flight Physics
• Interest in digitalization (big data, etc.) is a plus
• Experience in organizing and leading flight dynamic simulation activities
• Experience in validation tests for training simulators and supporting data-package activities
• Research and develop methods and tools aligned with engineering strategy to improve vehicle simulation
