The Airbus Canada (A220) Digital & Business Transformation organization is a newly shaped organization laying the foundations towards preparing Airbus Canada for the next chapter.

The transformation comprises & strives to connect all the elements of People & Human aspects of change, Process Optimization & Efficiency, Supporting Digital Technology & Innovative Tools while keeping an eye on culture and way of working.

The Airbus Canada transformation is a very significant step forward to separate from the legacy way of working and tools, securing the ramp-up and preparing readiness for a major product development.

The transformation is spread across 3 phases, targeting distinct business objectives always ensuring a tight link to Technology/Tools, Process, and People:

  • SEPARATE the Information System from previous environment to gain AUTONOMY
  • SECURE Business Continuity and subsequent RAMP UP of the ecoSystem
  • TRANSFORM the environment (across all axes) to PREPARE the next product evolution

The role of the Release Manager aims to deliver consistent business releases to meet the business objectives/value (spanning end-to-end across People, Process & Technology streams).

A special focus is expected on guaranteeing the Separation readiness, the preparation, simulation, and execution of the cutover itself.

The Release Manager must continuously keep in sync, review, and adapt the alignment between business targets & content, speed & quality, organizational & people readiness to deliver consistent business releases and value.

The Release Manager has a pivotal role to synchronize all actors and must interact with an extensive stakeholder panel, spanning project streams, functions, countries, and seniority levels.

Additionally, the Release Manager interfaces with Airbus's internal global IM organization to secure platform readiness, guarantee handover to the “run” mode, and ensure quality end-user service delivery towards Airbus Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the definition of regular business releases to implement coherent value across various streams and meet the 3 distinct objectives
  • Structure and deliver the release management of all Integrated Applications
  • Secure the Day1 Readiness and preparation / CutOver
  • Ensure future business transformation priorities & objectives are integrated into a solution roadmap & deployment roadmap
  • Implement a formal process to validate OTCQ of the different deliverables

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects, preferably in a manufacturing environment within a large global enterprise
  • Proven experience in managing issues, scope, and quality, successfully completing projects within cost and time constraints
  • Management experience of medium and transnational teams is desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a demanding, multi-functional, and multinational environment
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written); networking skills are essential with a strong ability to influence
  • Customer-oriented mindset, adaptive capabilities
  • Strong project management methodology including agile frameworks
  • Stakeholder Management, Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Strong business & digital acumen
  • 10 years of experience in Information Technology
