As a member of our Financial Line department in France, the candidate will be responsible for managing new business and renewals, with an emphasis on underwriting new business production.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Support the growth of a profitable and diversified portfolio of Financial Lines risks.
2. Actively market the department’s products in all regions of the country, increasing Everest Insurance’s market presence and bid growth nationally.
3. Demonstrate a complete understanding of the company’s underwriting authorities and guidelines.
4. Analyze new business to ensure portfolio profitability as defined by corporate underwriting policy.
5. Underwriting renewals according to current underwriting policy in a service and cost-effective environment, ensuring high retention of renewals.
6. Develop and maintain positive business relationships with brokers and clients, including soliciting new business opportunities.
7. Assist in the development of products and marketing materials.
8. Ability to assess and communicate relevant market information to the underwriting team.
9. Interact and coordinate activities with other departments (in particular, management, prevention, claims, accounting).
10. Contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures.

Candidate Profile :

1. Minimum of 10 years of Financial Line underwriting experience, demonstrating subject matter expertise and strong industry contacts.
2. Excellent analytical and computer skills with demonstrated ability to use data analysis and draw appropriate conclusions based on results.
3. In-depth knowledge of the French insurance market and brokers.
4. Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
5. Ability to maintain excellent broker relationships and provide high quality service.
6. Ability to ensure compliance with all internal and external management and regulatory controls
7. Team player and ability to work effectively with peers.
8. Strong time management skills to meet all service requirements.
9. Advanced Master 2 in Insurance or Legal or equivalent
10. Languages - Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, is essential.
