Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager I to lead the team building the next generation of AI-driven security capabilities. This role blends security expertise with GenAI/LLM innovation, shaping how AI empowers security analysts worldwide.

You will guide production systems, coach engineers, and collaborate with product, AI research, and security teams to deliver impactful, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Led teams of engineers delivering impact in AI or security-focused products.
• Experience shipping production-grade AI-enabled features.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team at the intersection of security, AI, and product innovation.
• Collaborate with PMs, security experts, and AI researchers to design and deliver AI Agents.
• Guide production-ready systems combining platform with GenAI models and RAG pipelines.
• Coach engineers and foster an inclusive culture.
• Own delivery of key initiatives with emphasis on security and reliability.
• Participate in hands-on work: code reviews, design reviews, and some coding.
