Job summary

Datadog is seeking an AI Research Scientist for its DAIR team in Paris to tackle fundamental research problems and translate advances into products. You will partner with Research Engineers and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deploy state-of-the-art models.

You will train multimodal foundation models on telemetry data, design simulated environments, and contribute to publications. This role offers collaboration across Datadog offices and opportunities to present at conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, ML, or a related field.
• Strong background in deep learning, distributed training (DeepSpeed, Megatron-LM), and PyTorch.
• Proven publication record at top venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML).

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in generative AI and ML to build foundation models and agents for observability.
• Train multimodal models on large-scale telemetry data using distributed infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product and Eng teams to integrate capabilities into Datadog products.
• Publish findings and contribute to open-source model artifacts and benchmarks.
