Job summary

Ubisoft seeks an experienced SRE/Platform Engineer to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of our AI platform powering interactive experiences. You will work on AI gateway, MCP servers, LLM serving, and retrieval services, aligning with product teams to productionize AI services safely.

You will define SLOs/SLIs, implement observability, and drive resilience across cloud and containerized environments while maintaining automation-driven deployments and incident response

Qualifications

• Must have experience in SRE/platform engineering in compute/data-intensive environments.
• Strong practices for SLOs, error budgets, observability, capacity planning, and post-incident analysis.
• Proficient in Python; Rust proficiency or willingness to work with Rust-based services.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and production-grade service operations.
• Experience building & maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab, and using infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, networking, and production debugging.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-changing AI ecosystem with rigor and risk awareness.
• Clear communication and collaboration across engineering/data/ML/security/product teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve reliability, scalability, and performance of the AI platform.
• Define and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for reliability decisions.
• Build observability across infrastructure and AI signals (latency, throughput, errors, cost).
• Improve performance, efficiency, and cost of model and API serving across environments.
• Design graceful degradation, failover, and resilience patterns.
• Maintain safe deployment practices using GitLab CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Lead or contribute to incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, security, and product teams to productionize AI services responsibly.
• Develop runbooks, dashboards, and best practices for AI reliability.
