Siemens Software invites applications for a 6-month Strategic Student Program internship in Villeurbanne, near Lyon. You will evaluate testing strategies for physics simulation software, build internal tooling, and prototype AI-assisted workflows to automate validation in CI/CD pipelines.

We seek hands-on software engineering or computer science students who can contribute to automated test generation, tooling, and developer enablement with strong Python/C++ skills and familiarity with test

Qualifications

• Pursuing a higher education degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical field in France.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++ relevant to simulation and tooling.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., unittest, Squish) and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Testing Strategy Evaluation: Research, benchmark, and evaluate modern testing methodologies and tooling for physics simulation software.
• Tooling Development: Build internal tools, utilities, and CLI extensions to aid test creation, maintenance, and debugging.
• AI-Driven Workflow Prototyping: Integrate AI tools into the test authoring workflow to accelerate test generation and best practices.
• Manual-to-Automated Pilot Migration: Migrate high-priority manual tests to automated tests.
• CI/CD Integration: Connect testing tools and suites into existing CI/CD pipelines for automated verification on builds.
• Developer Enablement & Documentation: Create onboarding guides and examples to help the team adopt new testing tools.
