Job summary

Siemens Software's Strategic Student Program in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, offers an internship to optimize Simcenter Amesim build and test pipelines. You will investigate, measure, and improve build speed, reliability, and developer velocity within a 5–6 month timeframe starting January 2027.

Qualifications include Bac+4/5 in France, strong C/C++, Python for automation, and good English/French communication. Hybrid work, mentorship, and access to Learning Hub are provided.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of low-level languages (C/C++), compilation, and linking processes.
• Experience with standard C++ toolchains: GCC/MSVC, CMake, ccache, Conan.
• Optimization mindset for compile-time, runtime, memory improvements.

Responsibilities

• Establish baselines with automated metrics for build/test performance.
• Research and propose state-of-the-art tools and techniques for the C++ stack.
• Evaluate and prototype solutions, benchmark results, discuss ROI with teams.
• Implement optimizations and scale changes safely, communicating improvements to teams.
