Job summary

Entalpic seeks a Scientific Software Engineer to build AI-driven data platforms for materials discovery. You will transform literature, patents and lab data into high-quality datasets, focusing on chemistry and materials science.

The role combines chemistry expertise with software/data engineering, leveraging LLMs to extract structured information and support the Computational Chemistry and ML teams. Paris-based with some remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a chemistry/materials science related field.
• 2+ years in software/data engineering or scientific software development.
• Strong Python software engineering skills with testing and version control.

Responsibilities

• Define schemas for chemical properties, materials and experiments.
• Design agentic extraction workflows using LLMs.
• Build robust data quality mechanisms and provenance tracking.
• Develop scalable Python pipelines transforming heterogeneous scientific data.
• Collaborate across chemistry, materials science and AI teams to support modeling.
