As an Apprentice AI Engineer you will join our Cross-Connectors squad under the mentorship of our Lead AI Engineer. This is an at least one-year apprenticeship designed to immerse you in real-world AI and software development projects with a focus on building and optimizing connectors to financial institutions. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI / LLM tools cloud platforms and scalable financial systems while contributing to impactful projects.

This position will start on September so interviews will start on August.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in the development of connectors to financial institutions - using python - that is custom code that securely aggregates financial data and delivers it to clients via our APIs.
• Support testing and documentation for connectors ensuring reliability and clarity for internal and external users.
• Experiment with agentic AI / LLM tools under mentorship exploring how workflows can automate data processing and improve connector building and maintaining efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product DevOps architecture) to understand requirements and contribute to project planning.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions guided by senior engineers to build technical and communication skills.
• Develop foundational skills in cloud platforms (AWS) and software engineering best practices through structured on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science AI data science or a related field with a strong interest in AI / LLM applications.
• Basic understanding of programming (e.g. Python Go) and software development principles.
• Exposure to AI / LLM concepts through coursework or personal projects (e.g. chatbots text generation workflow automation).
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn you thrive in dynamic environments and are excited to grow technically and professionally.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and articulate ideas clearly.
• Adaptability to embrace new tools frameworks and methodologies in a fast-paced industry.
