Mistral is seeking a Code Data Quality Specialist to ensure high-quality code annotations and maintain internal tooling that supports annotators. You will audit annotations against rubrics and build tools to streamline workflows, collaborating with engineers and program managers to refine guidelines.

The role emphasizes data quality for AI training and evaluation, requiring programming proficiency, Unix familiarity, and strong written English.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or 2–5 years of professional software/ tooling experience.
• Hands-on experience using code agents in development workflows.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Ability to apply consistent rubric-based judgment and identify gaps.
• Sustained focus for detail-oriented review work and Unix-like terminal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot local development environments across OSs.
• Professional English writing and reading skills.

Responsabilités

• Generate and validate high-quality data annotations per guidelines and feedback.
• Surface issues, edge cases, and gaps in guidelines to stakeholders.
• Produce annotations to model quality standards.
• Build and maintain internal tools and automation for annotator workflows.
• Troubleshoot environment, tooling, and version-control issues in collaboration with IT and engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine guidelines for data production.
