Job summary

dLocal is hiring a senior AI/ML-focused architect to design and oversee the implementation of scalable AI-powered payment solutions. You will work with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to evaluate new AI tech, deploy robust AI systems, and ensure maintainability across the stack.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• + 7 years of experience with Python programming language, LLM frameworks (Langchain, LlamaIndex), and interactive data apps (Streamlit, Gradio).
• Extensive experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Proven expertise in applying scalability patterns (caching, parallelism, routing, asynchrony, decoupling, etc).
• Deep familiarity with Architecture for LLM Applications and Prompt Engineering techniques/patterns.
• Experience with DevOps best practices, including version control (Git), infrastructure as code (IaC), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Extensive experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Desirable experience with evaluation and observability of generative AI applications.
• Fluent English proficiency is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to architect and design scalable AI systems.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to stay at the cutting edge.
• Oversee deployment and maintenance of AI solutions using Python, LLM libraries, AI services, and AWS.
• Define and implement best practices for AI system architecture, ensuring robustness and maintainability.
• Adapt quickly to evolving technologies to keep AI solutions cutting-edge.
• Develop a holistic vision for applying AI across the IT team and beyond.
• Create and promote training programs and frameworks to facilitate rapid adoption of AI tools.
